Demolition, site work and addition to a residential development in Buffalo, New York. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a residential development; for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Erie County Department of Public Works - Division of Buildings and Grounds (herein also referred to as "The County") is seeking Qualification Statements for an Architectural & Engineering consultant to provide professional services In general, the work will include, but is not limited to: (1) Addition of two custom designed 26 ft. wide x 72 ft. long Gothic arch steel-framed grow houses with a 14 ft. nominal gutter height matching the two existing grow houses that are part of the administration building complex previously completed in 2010 with related sitework, door and hardware, greenhouse equipment, greenhouse environmental controls, mechanical, electrical (lighting) and plumbing (irrigation) systems. - The new grow houses will utilize the existing concrete foundations specifically constructed in 2010 for this purpose and utility extensions from the adjacent complex; - The existing grow house roof, north and west perimeter walls are glazed with 8mm clear Acrylite SDP; existing south and east perimeter walls are sealed glass units. Durable roof and wall materials and/or screening/netting are to be considered to protect the grow houses from the nearby South Park golf course. - The existing grow houses are currently separated from the administration building with a 2-hour fire wall and fire shutter. Interior partitions may be required between the additional houses and existing; - Automatic roof vent control system, sized in accordance with building needs and anticipated loading (snow, wind, dead, etc.) connecting to the existing system for seamless operation of all grow houses; - Mechanical include extension of fin-tube heating system for the perimeter insulated panels along the bottom edge of the walls and one at the gutter elevation, and hot water bench heating loop for each growing bench; Gas fired suspended unit heaters; Connection to existing heating system and equipment upgrade as necessary.
