A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED AND IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS REQUIREMENT. IT WILL DELAY THE POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION DUE TO FURTHER MARKET RESEARCH THAT WILL BE REQUIRED. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BFA023B00000002 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Emergency Repair Sewer Screen, at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Florence, located in Florence, Colorado. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) FCC Florence is a federally owned facility located at 5880 State Highway 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. The project consists of the 0following: Demolition and removal of the existing damaged sanitary sewer screening equipment (Hypress HP1020HCV2 Sewage Screen), connections, anchors, and associated electrical that is identified as damaged and beyond repair. Install one (1) Sewer Step Screen and accessories. Startup of new installed sewer screen per manufacturer recommendations. Provide inspection of the operation of new sewer screen and adjust as needed to complete installation per manufacturer requirements, tolerances, and installation recommendations. Furnish the services of a factory trained service engineer for the inspection of the installation and observe start up. Provide on-site training to operating staff on general maintenance, safety hazards, and operations of new sewer screen. The Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation will provide complete requirements for the project. The solicitation will be posted at a later date. Interested bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 237110 with a corresponding small business size standard of $39.5 million. To be considered an interested vendor, you must possess this NAICS code in your https://sam.gov registration. The FBOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in your https://sam.gov registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your https://sam.gov registration). Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by emailing the Contracting Officer at tmanderson@bop.gov. Your email should be titled "Interested Vendor - Boiler Replacement - FCC Florence." In your email, please attach the following: 1) capabilities statement; 2) small business status. Additionally, if able, please add yourself to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in https://sam.gov (must be logged-in to your vendor account). Your response will be imperative in the Contracting Officer's set-aside decision for the forthcoming solicitation. Please respond to the Contracting Officer only if you are interested in submitting a bid as a Prime Contractor and are capable and eligible to compete for and perform this project. This notice is intended only for those who would be entering into a Prime Contract with the FBOP for the entirety of the project. The FBOP does not award subcontracts. Subcontracts (if applicable/necessary) are the responsibility of the Prime contractor. The FBOP has no privity of contract with subcontractors. The synopsis of proposed contract action (to be posted at a later date) will include further instructions for responding to this opportunity. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
