Coordinating work activities with the adjacent and neighboring property owner and tenants. B. Provide traffic control and detour signage. C. Removal and disposal (at an approved site) of existing sidewalk, street asphalt, and unsuitable or excess base material within the area shown on the plan set. D. Verify suitability of underlying soil to support finished work and over excavate areas of poor soil conditions and backfill with crushed stone or compacted sub-base material where directed by City. E. Backfill and compact exposed area per plan set and street standards. . Compaction with rubber wheels will not be accepted. Proof rolling by heavy vehicle is required. No concrete or asphalt shall be placed until contractor provides minimum of two successful compaction tests by a qualified testing firm in areas with 12-inches or more of compacted fill. F. Provide expansion/contraction joints matching adjacent slab sections, and matching detail sheets. G. Stamp finished concrete work at maximum 50-feet intervals with Contractor's name and year of construction in letters 1-inch high by 1/4 -inch deep. H. Provide site cleanup, removal and off-site disposal of all debris remaining from this work. The City of Florence will accept sealed bids for the following general scope of work for completion within sixty (60) calendar days after Notice To Proceed. Five (5) percent bid bond is required with the bid. 100% performance and payment bonds are required. This project will remove and dispose of existing sidewalks and street asphalt, regrade the intersection, and re-construct sidewalks and pavement for ADA compliance and improved drainage at the intersection of East 5th Street with Oriole Road. Liquidated damages: Overall Project: Unless the contract completion date listed in the Notice to Proceed is extended by mutual agreement in a Change Order, the contracted work must be completed within sixty (60) of the Notice to Proceed. If work is not substantially completed by said completion date, The Contractor shall pay the City liquidated damages for delay, in the amount of two hundred and fifty ($250.00) dollars for each day that work remains uncompleted. Work shall not be considered substantially complete until all surfaces within the construction area are finished, cured, and placed in full use and operation.
