Further details regarding the solicitation for bids for the project are available on MCHA Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project - Clarification Deadline: 12/16/2022 2:00 PM This project is located at the Sidney Pollock House building at 450 East High Street in Pottstown, PA 19464. The Sidney Pollock House building is a nine (9) story high rise built in 1983 that consists of one hundred two (102) apartment units designed for disabled and elderly public housing residents In general, this project includes the following major items of work: installation of a new fire alarm system for the entire building, removal of the old fire alarm system, minor repairs to acoustic ceiling system, patching, and painting. The project may also include minor carpentry and other miscellaneous work items, as are necessary to compete the major items of work. C. The bid documents have been structured with a single base bid scenario. The base bid work is divided into separate contracts for the General Construction (GC) and Electrical Construction (EC) contractors. The Montgomery County Housing Authority (MCHA) can choose to award both contracts, or to award one contract and to reject bids received for the other contract, or to reject bids received for both contracts, dependent upon funding availability and the best interest of the MCHA. The MCHA will make this determination after bids are received.
