**As of March 16, 2023, the contract was awarded to Katerberg VerHage for $3,221,155.11 and it will have various start dates since there are 3 sites involves, the first of which will begin mid April, the 2nd in mid may, and the 3rd in early June. Project is estimated at $2.6 Million. The scope of this project includes improvements at the following school locations: Breton Downs Elementary 2500 Boston St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 Lakeside Elementary 2325 Hall St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 Wealthy Elementary 1961 Lake Dr SE, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506 Specific items include installation of playground equipment; supply and install of playground surfacing, parking area, shelter structures; ballfield including stone dust, backstop, fencing and turf seeding; fencing including ball control netting, basketball courts, other court resurfacing, bituminous pavement, concrete pavement, seat and retaining walls, storm and crossfield drainage, fencing and gates, site lighting and electrical work, landscaping and lawn seeding. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft of bid bond of an approved surety company doing business in Michigan in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount proposed. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders of the bid documents.
