The Holt County Commission is requesting sealed bids for supplying crushed stone for the 2023 Road Maintenance Program, and for other maintenance needs. The specifications are as follow: Quantity Specifications: Approximate Quantities 50,000 Tons 1 1/4" Crushed Stone 20,000 Tons 1" Crushed Stone 40,000 Tons 1" Base Rock 5,000 Tons 2" Road Rock 8,000 Tons 3" Base Rock 20,000 Tons Shot Rock/Rip Rap 15,000 Tons Type #1 Rip Rap 5,000 Tons Type 3 Base Rock 5,000 Tons Gabion Stone Gradation Specifications: Size Percent 1 1/4 " 1" 3/4" 1/2" 3/8" #4 #10 #40 #200 Passing Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than Passing no more than 100% 94-98% 75-85% 50-65% 15-45% 20-30% 0-15% 2-4% 0-4% The County reserves the right to accept any or all quarry company bids for any size rock that it deems to be the lowest or best quote. The Holt County Road Supervisor and the County Commission will check rock for quality. A gradation report will also be required for every day of crushing. Tonnage will be on a more-or-less basis. A surety bond or certified check on a Missouri bank or trust company, in the amount of five (5%) of the bid, made payable to the County of Holt, shall be attached to the bid.
