**As of January 23, 2023 this project has been awarded to ATP General Engineering Contractors in an amount of $579,106.50** Funding: This project is being financed with Community Development Block Grant Funds Time for Completion: 30 Working Days Liquidated Damages: $1,000 / Per Calendar Day Requests for Information: Questions must be in writing and submitted by 3:00 P.M. on, Thursday, December 15, 2022. (e-mail: vorrantia@indio.org) Anticipated Contract Award*: January 18, 2023 Anticipated Construction Start Date*: February 1, 2023 Required Contractor License: Class "A" General Engineering Contractor's License. The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer The project is located west of Clinton Street, and south of Miles Avenue in the Zalay Ranch and Park Paseo Communities. The project will include pavement rehabilitation consisting of grinding and overlaying the existing AC pavement for the following streets: St. Thomas Lane, Jennifer Court, Tomin Way, Bradley Way, Paseo Entrada, Paseo Real Avenue, Paseo Sereno, Sierra Avenue, and Paseo Cielo. The project will also include the removal and replacement of 12 curb ramps per City of Indio Standard Plans No. 136 to bring them into compliance with current ADA standards. Work will include removal of exiting concrete ramps, sidewalk, AC pavement, concrete pavement/cross-gutters, fine grading and compaction, construction of new curb ramps, sidewalk, AC pavement, concrete pavement/cross-gutters, traffic control and resident/business notifications. An allowance has been included to perform any minor required concrete work or other work that may be needed that is found during construction. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon Contract award, the Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. Before acceptance of the Project, the Contractor shall submit a warranty or maintenance Bond that is valid for one year from acceptance, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price; in lieu of that Bond, the Contractor may submit proof from the Surety that the performance Bond has been extended for the appropriate duration of time. All Bonds must be issued by a California admitted Surety insurer using the forms set forth in the Contract Documents, or in any other form approved by the City Attorney. Failure to enter into the Contract with the City, including the submission of all required Bonds and insurance coverages, within fifteen (15) Days after the date of the mailing of written notice of contract award to the Bidder, shall subject the Bid security to forfeiture to the extent provided by law.
