Revised 11282022 Question Deadline 04/18/2023 at 3:00 The City of Indio Public Arts Commission is seeking the creation of a site-specific sculptural outdoor library to be located within the Shields Park. Therefore, the City of Indio Public Arts Commission invites artists, as individuals or teams, to submit proposals for the design and install a sculptural multifunctional outdoor library to be used by ages and be ADA accessible to house books, includes seating, shade with appropriate lighting as part of the Public Arts Commission's Work Plan adopted on April 6, 2022. The Park connects to CV Link and could be a resting area and/or a destination for the CV Link users, especially when outdoor library is installed. The project budget is not to exceed $65,000.00 for an artist or team of collaborative artists. The budget must include the artist(s) fee, material/supply costs, rental equipment, site preparation prior to installation, travel-related expenses, and all other associated costs. The project is located on Shields Road between Highway 111 and Martinique Avenue. The specific scope of work includes constructing roadway to make Shields Road continuous. Work will include grading, installing asphalt concrete, aggregate base, construct curb and gutter, sidewalk, and striping.
