Renovation of an educational facility in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 35,000-square-foot educational facility.
ID # - 23-43527 The School Inspector's Office of the Waterbury Board of Education is seeking to contract for the removal and replacement of flooring in the basement hallway & classrooms, 1 st floor classrooms only, 2nd floor hallway & classrooms of Walsh Elementary School. Total = approximately 35,000 sqft Scope of Work 1.The Contractor shall o Remove and demolish all old flooring tiling and cove base to the base of the floor (wood floor where applicable and concrete where applicable) o Basement tiles will go over exiting tile without removal. Basement is on concrete base o Transport the carpet and other demolition debris to a contractor-provided dumpster to be placed at a location chosen by the BOE; o Lay new 1/2 plywood over existing base floor in classrooms. Reinforce hallways wood o Level out surface when applicable(concrete) o Install new tiles and cove base supplied by the vendor o Provide finished tile flooring with level, ADA compliant thresholds o Provide a reasonable amount of the specified tile to be left with the BOE as attic stock. Completion by August 15, 2023.
