The Lenawee Intermediate School District will receive sealed bid proposals from qualified Mechanical Contractors for the LISD William J Ross Educational Service Center (ESC) HVAC Improvement project. All proposals shall include all labor, materials, and permits. Questions and comments by Contractors for inclusion as Bidders shall be addressed to Nathan Brunk PE, Brunk Engineering Design by e-mail at nbrunk@gmail.com. Bid drawings and specifications will be available on Thursday, December 1, 2022, and can be obtained electronically by making a request to Brunk Engineering Design by e-mail at nbrunk@gmail.com or phone: (703)791-9059. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) is required and must be submitted with the bid prior to the bid due date. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid date. Additional bond requirements are listed in the bid specifications. All bidders shall provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Lenawee Intermediate School District ("LISD"), or the superintendent of the LISD. A form will be enclosed in the specification's booklet that shall be used for this purpose. A sworn and notarized Affidavit of compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act certifying the contractor does and will comply with Public Act 517 of 2012 shall accompany all proposals. The Owner will not accept a proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. A form will be enclosed in the specification's booklet that shall be used for this purpose. A Michigan based business preference of the lesser value of 5% or $10,000 will apply in determining awards. The Project Completion Date is September 1, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bid proposals which they feel to be in their own best interest.
