The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit proposals for acceptance by the Borough to provide the development and delivery of flood hazard analyses and mapping of the Japanese Creek alluvial fan in Seward, Alaska. The objectives of this project are to update the flood hazard and drainage analyses and mapping based on LiDAR collected in 2021. Flood hazard analyses will include new modeling of existing and future conditions on the alluvial fan, and differencing of 2009 and 2021 digital elevation models. Deliverables will include a new geodatabase and associated maps with flood hazard area boundaries, flow paths, and flood depth grids, sediment aggradation/degradation rates, and a technical report.
