The project consists of the following: 1. Coordination with the Village of Florida Mayor and/or his designatee. 2. Remove and dispose offsite all sediment inside the two tanks, at a disposal site approved by the Engineer. 3. Pressure wash the interior surfaces of both tanks. The Rose Street Tank is a glass lined, bolted steel tank with a 45 foot diameter and 51 foot height. The Beazer Tank is a glass lined, bolted steel tank with a 28 foot diameter and 91 foot height. 4. Disinfect both tanks. 5. Install a mixer in both tanks. 6. Repair two leaks in the Rose Street Tank by bolting and epoxying. 7. Perform bacteriological testing for both tanks and VOC testing for the Rose Street Tank. All checks shall be drawn payable to Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers P.C. and mailed via first class mail to 15 Industrial Drive, Suite 2, Middletown, NY 10941---- OR --- these documents may be sent electronically for $25.00 upon an email request to Linda Kump at lkump@panddengineers.com. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Village of Florida as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The Village of Florida hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements relating to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, and Executive Order 11246. Bidders are also required to comply with the provisions of Sections 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York and all other applicable laws and regulations. The Village of Florida hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
