The City of Santa Clara ("City") is requesting Statement of Qualifications ("SOQ") from qualified firms ("Proposer") to provide professional forensic diagnostic engineering and analysis services to investigate and evaluate the structure and operating components of the George F. Haines International Swim Center ("Facility" or "IRC") located at 2625 Patricia Drive, Santa Clara. The primary purpose of this project is for the selected Proposer to report on the Facility's current condition, identify systemic deficiencies, determine remaining operating life, identify risks and compliance with building codes, provide an itemized cost estimate to rehabilitate the Facility, and make a recommendation on whether resources should be focused on rehabilitation or on a replacement facility. Proposers must have architectural, structural, mechanical, Building Code, American Disability Act (ADA) compliance, forensic engineering, investigative expertise, and ability to evaluate the Facility which includes three pools (50-meter x 25-yard racing pool, deep diving well, and a training pool), decks, mechanical circulation, filtration and heating systems, 3000-seat viewing stands, roof, diving tower, shower facilities, and support spaces.
