Site work and new construction of a museum in Santa Clara, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
Per the owner, as of October 2, 2024, this project is currently on hold. The owner states that the city has decided not to continue the pursuit of analyzing the project for modified/reuse at this time. The owner states that although Garavaglia was selected as the finalist, the RFQ was never awarded. The owner states that the city is still in the process of determining next steps for the property's highest and best use. Closed solicitation has been included below for reverence. ........ Silicon Valley Power (SVP) is the City of Santa Clara's 126-year-old Electric Utility that serves over 57,000 customers. The City of Santa Clara purchased the Morse Mansion Property (Property) in 2016. The Property is in the National Historic Registry and is currently leased to a Santa Clara University Sorority. On November 1, 2022 the City Council held a Study Session (Exhibit 1) to discuss the future of the Property. The City Council discussion was to consider a possible option to continue with its current use or convert it to a Silicon Valley Power (SVP) Sustainability and Historic Center (Center), depending on the feasibility of doing this. Q & A deadline: Jan 09, 2023 11:30:00 PM EST The City is looking for a qualified consultant team to complete a feasibility and cost analysis to assist the City in determining if the City would like to further explore this project. Please review the main SOQ document (Morse Mansion with A and B) for the complete Statement of Requirements. This SOQ is distributed as four files. The Morse Mansion with A and B file is the main SOQ document that includes the statement of requirements plus all submittal requirements, timelines and rules that apply to this process. This file also includes Attachments A and B. Contract duration: 5 years The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time Per the owner, as of January 4, 2023, the due date has been confirmed with the owner.
