I-70N-4 (27) 94 ID - BPM034199 The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. Counties: Baltimore County Classification: E ($2,500,001 to $5,000,000 ) Funding: Federal F.A.P. Number: AC-NHPP-G-70-1(283)E This project is for the bridge deck replacement and minor rehabilitation of Bridge No. 0323900 on MD 570 (previously I-70) over Ingleside Ave. Originally constructed in 1968, rehabilitated in 1973, and repaired in 1997, the structure is a three-span steel girder bridge with span lengths of 52'-0"+-, 86'-7"+-, and 52'-0"+- for a total bridge length of 190'-7"+-. The existing out to out superstructure width is 152'-0"+-. The 152'-0" of existing bridge deck is divided into three bridge sections, separated by 1" longitudinal joints. The three sections are referred to in the plans as EB bridge, WB bridge and median bridge. The substructure consists of two full cantilever abutments, and two cap and column piers. Maintenance of Traffic for this project will use temporary lane shifts onto the median bridge while the EB and WB concrete bridge decks are removed and replaced. After the EB and WB portions of the project are complete, the median bridge superstructure and portions of substructure will be removed as a part of the project. Additional work includes cleaning/painting the structural steel, milling and paving, removing & replacing the concrete abutment backwall and wing walls, construction of a concrete pier protection wall and wrapping the pier caps with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP). Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon latest the electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
