The project consists of providing new water mains and residential water services along Country Club Drive and Woodland Drive in Ben Lomond, CA with associated fittings and valves. Provide and install approximately 1260-LF of 8- inch ductile iron pipe water main, approximately 44-LF of 6-inch ductile iron pipe water main, approximately 31-LF of 4-inch ductile iron pipe water main, and reconnect 4 existing residential water services. Provide traffic control during the work. SITE OF WORK: Unincorporated Santa Cruz County (Ben Lomond, CA). Bid security or a bid guaranty bond, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid amount, is required to be submitted with the Bid. Requests for interpretation of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Josh Wolff in writing to JWolff@slvwd.com no later than 5:00 p.m., January 4, 2023. SLVWD will release a final response to requests for interpretation no later than 5:00 p.m., January 6,2023. The Owner shall not open any bids received after the time specified above and shall return the unopened Bids to the Bidder. The contract time is hereby established as 180 calendar days. The contract time shall be consecutive calendar days from the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The fixed liquidated damages amount is hereby established as $1,000 for each calendar day of unauthorized delay in completion of the Work. The Bidder to whom the award is made will be required to submit a payment bond and a performance bond, each in a principal amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price. Contractor shall possess a Class 'A' Contractor's License at the time of bid submission and award of the Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. SLVWD reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
