Townsend Community School ( School ) is requesting proposals from qualified Architecture or Engineering Firms to work with the School to provide preliminary design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration from A/E Contract award through construction contract closeout, including record documents ( Project ). It is the intent of the School to open up this request for proposals ( RFP ) for the Project to any firm that meets the qualifications outlined in the minimum qualifications section of the Specifications. Services that have been omitted from this RFP, which are clearly necessary for the completion of all work, shall be considered a requirement although not directly specified or called for in this proposal. The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. Removal of glass walls and doors and installation of bullet resistant wall and door systems on first and second floors.
b. reconfigure office and closet space to create classroom modules space on first and second floors. No others are to be contacted regarding this project. The School expects to award the Contract to the firm whose proposal is in the best interest of the School. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of said bid. School reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any requirements herein. The RFP and its requirements will become binding on the Offeror awarded a contract, unless Offeror takes formal exception to an item or items, as directed in the section, Proposal Requirements. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
