The work associated with the Agency Wide Waterfront Structure Repairs includes pre-construction inspections for base-mapping of concrete slab and deck defects, selective demolition and removal of concrete deck and slab surfaces, constructing concrete spall repairs, repairing damaged slab reinforcing by way of welded splices, performing a bonded overlay slab mock-up and tensile pull test program, providing bonded overlay repairs at areas of wide-spread and interconnected deck surface defects, repairing concrete cracks by pressure-injected epoxy method, repair of reinforced steel armor edging and expansion joints, repair of under-slab voids within cargo sheds by way of polyurethane injection, and construction of flexible/high-strength epoxy ramps at shed door openings to accommodate elevation differences due to slab settlement. The work will require minor selective demolition for preparation of transition ramp areas, and disposal of any excess underpin material and associated construction waste and all related Work at all marine terminals and Administration facilities. In addition, the work includes concrete crane beam encasement repairs; concrete pile encasement repairs; construction of integral cathodic protection system for concrete piles; steel sheet pile bulkhead repairs, timber pile repairs; timber cap repairs; installation of sacrificial cathodic protection systems; steel H-pile encasement repairs; collection of timber pile samples for laboratory testing; collection of concrete core samples for laboratory testing; upgrades to existing recessed bollard installations; steel pipe pile installation; fender replacement and repairs; ladder replacement and repairs; riprap shoreline stabilization repairs; and all related work at all marine terminals and Administration facilities.
