The Washington County Public Works Department is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to secure the services of a civil engineering consultant to perform on-call structural design services. The Transportation Division engages in multiple projects of various size and complexity on a routine basis. Funding ranges from local, state aid, and federal sources. Projects include: o Road widening and/or full reconstruction o Pavement Preservation o Bridge Maintenance o Inspection o Load Posting o Major and Minor Bridge Repairs o Bridge and Culvert Replacement Any questions regarding this RFP should be directed via email to allan.brandt@co.washington.mn.us by 3:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022 The intent of this RFP is to enter into an annual contract with the selected Consultant to provide on-call structural design services to Washington County Public Works staff as requested. It is anticipated that the awarded contract will be renewed annually, with the solicitation process occurring approximately every three (3) years. The initial contract is expected to start on February 1, 2023. The contract work is to be performed on an hourly basis not to exceed a specified contract amount. Such hourly rates shall be in effect for the duration of the initial contract which will expire on January 31, 2024. A schedule of hourly rates for appropriate employee classifications and the burden/overhead rate shall be submitted during contract negotiations with the selected Consultant(s).
