Any person or corporation proposing to submit a bid must take out a minimum of one (1) set of plans and specifications. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: NASSAU BOCES and clearly marked on the outside: Bid# 22/23-069. Bids must be received by Nassau BOCES prior to the time indicated for bid opening. Bidders wishing to mail their bids may send it the address listed above. Bidders deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount of the deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the documents if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to NASSAU BOCES, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Nassau BOCES offices will be closed December 26, 2022, thru January 2, 2023. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals, subject however, to the discretionary right reserved by Nassau BOCES to waive any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of Nassau BOCES will thereby be promoted. No bidder shall withdraw their Bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof, except as permitted in accordance with General Municipal Law 103(11). Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw their Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award.
