Service Start : 2/1/2023 Service End : 2/1/2025 Engineer Selection for HVAC Replacement/Rebuild Various Locations Finance Facilities & Support Services PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering & Contract Administration (DECA) is seeking professional design services for the Finance Facilities & Support Services Department to provide design Phases A thru D for HVAC replacement at various buildings. The Department of Facilities and Support Services manages numerous buildings across the state. Several of those buildings operate HVAC equipment that is approaching or beyond its life expectancy, particularly primary systems and air handlers. Operating an HVAC system through old boilers, chillers, coils, fan motors and drives, valves, dampers, rotten housings, etc. can lead to inefficiencies in operation, added maintenance time and expenditures, and will inevitably fail. This project is to address an air handler, boiler/hot water system, and chiller/chilled water system replacement and refurbishment program for Finance managed buildings with the highest needs. The initial buildings for this study are the Bush Building and PSC building. DECA reserves the option to increase scope of work pending additional funding availability The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
