The work consists of replacing the existing 40 LF, twin-60 inch reinforced concrete pipe culverts and headwalls located on Range Road along Kings Creek, including excavation, backfill, temporary access to the south side of Range Road, stream cleaning, utility diversion, bank stabilization, landscape restoration, road reconstruction and all work and material incidental thereto. Bids must be be accompanied by a BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to the City of Linden, in the amount of ten percent of the total bid to secure performance. ALL BIDDERS shall conform to the intention and provisions of Affirmative Action in Public Contracts Laws of State of New Jersey R.S. 10:2-1 of 7/23/75, Assembly Bill No. 2227. BIDDERS are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be in the interest of the City to do so. The project must be entirely completed 60 calendar days after the date specified on the Notice to Proceed unless excused or otherwise noted by the Engineer. Final completion of the project must be achieved no later than August 31, 2023.
