The County is soliciting sealed proposals from highly qualified and experienced firms (hereinafter referred to as "Proposer") to provide professional environmental, traffic, and transportation design services for the United States Highway 50 (US 50) / Ponderosa Road Interchange Project (hereinafter referred to as "Project"). The Project will include US 50 / Ponderosa Road / South Shingle Road Interchange Improvements (Project #71333/36104010), US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange - Durock Road Realignment (Project #71338/36104008), and US 50 / Ponderosa Interchange - North Shingle Road Realignment (Project #71339/36104009), as required for the County's Department of Transportation. Firms must have and demonstrate their knowledge of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) environmental, traffic, and highway design policies and procedures. Firms must also have experience with Caltrans Local Assistance procedures for projects with federal and state funding. The County will award one (1) agreement to the top-ranked Proposer resulting from this competitive process to perform the professional environmental, traffic, and transportation design services as described herein. This Request for Proposal (RFP) includes a description of the evaluation and selection process, scope of work, proposal requirements, and insurance requirements.
