This project involves restoring and stabilizing approximately 2,500 linear feet (LF) of Bowen Boulevard Branch, a tributary of Brushy Fork Creek. Brushy Fork Creek has total maximum daily load (TMDL) restrictions for fecal coliform and total suspended solids (TSS) respectively, and sediment loading from this tributary adversely increases the TSS levels in the receiving waters. Surface water quality improvements will result from the design and construction of this project. As of August 7, 2024, this project is included City of Winston-Salem FY 2024-2029 CIP. No further information regarding a design firm has been made available. Construction is anticipated in FY 2026-2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
