Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Johnston, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This project will include the construction of an estimated 17.4-acre multi-layer landfill baseliner system for the Phase VI Area 3-2 Landfill and associated building and utility demolition to be completed during the 2023-2024 calendar years. The major items to be provided for the Phase VI Area 3-2 work will include, but are not limited to: site preparation and demolition of three existing buildings and all associated utilities, baseliner subgrade preparation, multi-layer baseliner installation, construction of stormwater controls, primary and secondary leachate collection system, roadway construction, blasting of ledge, and earthwork which includes mass excavation and filling. NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 2:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2022 LOCATION: The Central Landfill is located at 65 Shun Pike in Johnston, Rhode Island, to the north of Shun Pike, and is owned and operated by the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC). SITE ACCESS: Access to the facility is controlled with fences and gates around the site. The facility can be accessed in the southeast corner of the site, at the main entrance on Shun Pike. Access to other gates around the facility may be available for the Contractor at the discretion of RIRRC.
