Contract Start Date February 2023 The Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority (GFIAA) is requesting statements of qualifications from interested firms to provide Detailed Design, Procurement Support, and Construction Administration Support for the reconstruction of the airport entry and aviation fuel farm at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is the second busiest airport in Michigan, serving business and leisure travelers with nonstop and connecting flights on six airlines. The Ford Airport is managed and operated by the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority. To obtain the highest quality facilities within the required schedule and budget allocations, GFIAA seeks a consulting firm for design and construction phase planning and engineering services through a 2-part public Qualifications- Based Selection process which includes an initial qualifications evaluation followed by short list interviews and fee negotiation with the selected firm. This 2-part selection process articulates the GFIAA's goals and provides openness and consistency so that all qualified firms receive fair consideration. Design phase services for all of the components included in this RFQ will include complete facility design through bid phase services. Projected Project Costs o Design Cost (estimated) = $600,000 to $800,000 o Construction Cost (budget) = $10 to $12 million Opportunities for grant funding to support airport access and aircraft fueling operations improvements exist at the state and federal levels. Consultant partners should be prepared to assist the airport with identifying and applying for these funding opportunities. Project scope development for each of the following items are considered as the minimum scope of work to be performed by the consultant. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
