The selected design-builder will be required to perform, and be responsible for the following services and duties: Design and construction of the new Kitasoo/Xai'xais Nation Heliport to meet the performance requirements which are specified in this RFP, meeting all of the technical standards requirements as outlined in the heliport assessment report, Provisions of any utilities required for the Heliport, including any electrical or IT/data services, Securing the sign off of the Owner or the owners delegate for Concept design, 50% and 99% stages of design, Securing the sign off of all aviation specific technical requirements with the Nation before completing any construction work of such, Completing Geotechnical Engineering investigation of the new heliport location to determine the required soil conditions for bearing of the new heliport, Completing any surveying work to determine elevations and civil excavations work required to complete the heliport construction in the chosen location, Commissioning all the components of the heliport to ensure full operational compliance Completing the project within the schedule and the fixed price established by the design-build contract Worker accommodations within the community are not available, any ongoing site work for this project will require the design/build team to set up or secure their own accommodations. The location of the new heliport is in the community of Klemtu BC (Kitasoo Band Office). Its along Road H towards the ferry dock on the east side of the road.
