Plans include: Design of a new, 225 gpm capacity iron and manganese removal facility using a high rate filtration process with manganese dioxide media, manufactured by ATEC Systems, to be housed in a post-frame (i.e. pole barn) building. Design of filtration backwash handling system, to include FRP backwash holding tank, recycle capability and access for waste removal with a vacuum truck. Replacement of the existing Well 6 electrical and controls to provide for a VFD on the well pump and new PLC RTU panel to meet current CPU standards. Add 3 phase 480 VAC circuit to serve the filter building. Design of modification of existing SCADA and PLC to incorporate limited operational information as supplied by ATEC Systems standard controller. Design of onsite yard piping improvements as required. Design of site improvements, primarily fence gate relocation and restoration of disturbed asphalt and grass areas. This project is included in the City of Battle Ground's fY 2023 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Per the owner, as of July 19, 2023, a design team has been selected.
