Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 14,400-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Interior renovation of 14,400 sf bldg. located on Grand Strand Campus. There is an existing gymnasium in the building to be converted to 2-story space. Bldg. to be used for nursing. imaging, physical therapy, EMT, multi-disciplinary simulation labs and more. Construction Cost Range: $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. PROJECT LOCATION: Grand Strand Building 100 The project received Phase I approval by the State Fiscal Accountability Authority on November 10, 2022, and Phase II approval is anticipated in October of 2023. It is desired to start construction in early 2024, with a completion date in early 2025 such that the faculty can begin instruction in the new building for the Spring of 2025. Due to the desired construction schedule, the college intends to assess liquidated damages for failure to meet the contract substantial completion date.
