Saving Project...

Renovation of a transportation facility in Auburn, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Due to the current conditions of the hangar facilities at the Airport, this program will replace or upgrade hangar facilities as they reach the end of their service life. A Facility Condition Assessment was completed in 2018. In 2019 an in depth analysis of the hangars' structure and roofing was conducted with a recommendation to not replace but upgrade the structures. The demand on the airport is greater for closed hangars vs open units. This project will convert 2 open hangar rows to closed hangars, and replace old doors on the airport's "H" hangar row. This will increase airport revenues at approximately $100,000 annually. This will allow for 2 open rows to remain on the airport and provide greater hangar options for airport tenants. This project is included in the City of Auburn's FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 9, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
