The County of Volusia, Business Services Department, Facilities Management Division is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of Volusia County Marine Science Center Utility and Sewer Upgrade located at Marine Science Center, 100 Lighthouse Drive, Ponce Inlet, Florida 32127. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings The County reserves the right to request a copy of the complete insurance policy(ies) and any endorsements for the above-mentioned insurance. Volusia County is soliciting bids to award to one (1) single State of Florida Licensed General Contractor or State of Florida Licensed Building Contractor for the upgrade of the water and sewer system at the Marine Science Center to accommodate current and future water/sewer usage. Question Deadline 07/13/2023 at 11:55 PM ET Questions and exceptions concerning any Section of this ITB shall be directed through the question and answer functionality of the County through electronically. Questions and exceptions shall be submitted by the question and answer deadline. Thereafter, no further questions or exceptions will be accepted or reviewed by the County and Bidders right to submit questions or exceptions will terminate and any questions or exceptions not previously made shall be deemed waived. Oral representations will not be binding on the County. Payroll costs for employees in the direct employ of Contractor in the performance of the Work required by the Change Order under schedules of job classifications agreed upon by County and Contractor. Payroll costs for employees not employed full time on the Work shall be apportioned on the basis of their time spent on the Work required by the Change Order. Payroll costs shall include, but not be limited to, salaries and wages plus the cost of fringe benefits which shall include social security contributions, unemployment, excise and payroll taxes, workmen's compensation, health and retirement benefits, bonuses, sick leave, vacation, and holiday pay applicable thereto.
