Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project will consist of sidewalk improvements, accessible curb ramps, curb and gutter improvements, street overlay and striping from US 50 to Springfield Avenue. The current roadway is in poor condition and is in need of an overlay. The sidewalks and curb ramps do not meet ADA guidelines. Engineering will be complete in June 2021 budget. There is no right of way acquisition planned for this project. The anticipated bid date for the project is in 2024. The City will be responsible for 20% of the funds needed for the project and all cost above the original grant award. Activity Amount Total Project is included City of Union FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Plan as of September 27, 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
