Renovation of a water / sewer project in Pt Orange, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Supply and install new chemical tanks at the Water Treatment Facility located at 4400 Wellfield Drive and the Water Reclamation Facility located at 817 Oak Street. The representative of each Bidder shall be an authorized employee of the Bidder and shall sign in accordingly. Bidders are urged to obtain Bid documents and familiarize themselves with the documents prior to the Pre-Bid Conference. A Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety or a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Port Orange, Florida in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposed bid shall be submitted with each bid The Bidder must be able to obtain both payment and performance bonds from a surety company licensed in Florida and must submit proof of their present bonding capacity with their bid submittal package in the form of a current (not older than 3 months) letter from Bidder's bonding agent. Bidder's bonding capacity must be equal to or greater than 100% of the total amount bid. Bidders who do not include their present bonding capacity letter in their submittal package will be deemed non-responsive. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Payment and Performance Bond equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount to be recorded by the City, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Volusia County, Florida. After recording, the City will furnish to the Contractor the recording information for the bond to evidence that the Contractor has met the requirement of Florida law. The City will bill the cost of recording to the Contractor. All questions shall be directed in writing to the Buyer, Joseph Castro, jcastro@port-orange.org and purchdiv@port-orange.org and reference "Questions on ITB #22-15 CHEMICAL TANK REPLACEMENTS AT WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES" in the subject line. Last day for questions will be December 29, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. Two hundred and seventy (270) days from notice to proceed for substantial completion and an additional ninety-five (95) days for final completion, not to exceed a total of three hundred and sixty-five (365) days for the term of the contract
