2022 CFP Roofing Replacement At Scottview Apartments and the Community Center at Cameron Heights The Fort Scott Housing Authority (Owner) will receive sealed bids until the date and time stated above for the CFP Modernizations project referenced above. The Work includes; removal and replacement of single ply roofing systems at these two building, and other items indicated on the plans and specifications. Bids are to include all necessary labor, materials and equipment. Please note that all bidders should try to attend the PreBid Meeting and shall verify that they have inspected the existing site conditions prior to submitting their bid. For all construction and equipment contracts over $25,000, the bidder shall be required to submit with the bid a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bond at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company. The Surety Company must be authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. Instructions to Bidders is contained in HUD-5369 "Instructions to Bidders for Contracts - Public and Indian Housing Programs". Satisfactory proof of authorization to sign on behalf of the company is required. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularity in bidding. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid if reasonable, and if it is in the interest of the Fort Scott Housing Authority to accept it. Attention is called to the provisions of equal opportunity and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications. This contract is subject to the conditions of Executive Order 11246, which prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin on federal or federally assisted construction contracts. This contract also is subject to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of Forty Five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Fort Scott Housing Authority.
