Snohomish County PUD #1 Water Utility owns and operates 9 separate water systems spread throughout Snohomish County serving approximately 23,000 customers. Currently the PUD maintains 17 main supply and booster pump stations with a combination of over 50 different end suction, vertical turbine, and submersible pumps and motors from 5-150 HP with flows between 20-1500 gpm. In addition, the PUD maintains approximately 17 supply wells with completed depths between 40' to 550', well casing diameters ranging from 6" to 16", drop pipe diameters ranging from 2" to 12", and a combination of submersible and vertical turbine deep line shaft pumps and motors from 0.5 to 150 HP with flows between 2.5 to 1200 gpm. 1. All mobilization and demobilization to and from the site as needed to remove and re-install both Well #1 and Well #2 piping (approximately 70' of 8" black iron column pipe, motor, pump, 1" PVC flush thread for pressure transducer, and associated appurtenances in a 14" -16" existing casing for each well). 2. Provide video inspection of both Well #1 and Well #2 to verify as-built dimensions, initial condition of screen, and depth to bottom of well and recommend any necessary rehabilitation to screen or well casing, if needed. 3. Remove / bail all accumulated scale and detritus from the tailpipe of both Well #1 and Well #2 4. Brush the 16"/14" well casing and screen to remove any loose scale then bail and clean out the screen and tailpipe for both Well #1 and Well #2. 5. Following brushing provide at least two (2) passes at not less than 10 minutes per station of cable tool surge and bail development through the well screen, monitoring the accumulation of material (if any) at each station and reaction of the well during the process. In the event that the well continues to make fine material or the tools are "tight" in some sections, provide another two (2) complete passes of the cable tool surge and bail development at not less than 10 minutes per station through the well screen. This work shall be completed for both Well #1 and Well #2 as modified by the project hydrogeologist based on the progress of the development and observations of the material produced. 6. At completion of the Well #1 and Well #2 well development provide a final video inspection of both Well #1 and Well #2 to verify as-built dimensions, condition of screen, and depth to bottom of well and recommend any additional rehabilitation to screen or well casing, if needed. 7. 8. 9. H Rev. 11/29/22 ni J Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish County Everett, WA 98201 Inspect Well #2 pump and motor for continued operation and temporarily install in Well #1 to get plant back into production until the new motor, pump, column pipe, and wire can be procured and installed. Provide and install new submersible motor, pump, wire, 8" black steel column pipe, and check valves as necessary for re-install for both Well #1 and Well #2. Submit cut sheets for all recommended equipment including pump and efficiency curves for review and approval by DISTRICT Project Lead in advance of order.
