ESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Work comprises the furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, incidentals, all implied requirements, and all appurtenant work as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder consist of traffic control; implementation and maintenance of Best Management Practices SWPPP; widening of southbound (SB) Alder Avenue to add a right-turn only lane at the State Route 210 (SR210) westbound (WB) on-ramp; restriping SB Alder Avenue to add a second left-turn lane at the SR-210 eastbound (EB) on-ramp and a second left-turn lane onto Renaissance Parkway; widening northbound (NB) Alder Avenue to provide dedicated right-turn lanes at the SR-210 EB on-ramp and onto Sierra Lake Parkway/West Casmalia Street; restriping NB Alder Avenue to add a second left-turn lane onto the SR-210 WB on-ramp; widening the SR-210 WB off-ramp terminus to provide a second left-turn lane; widening the SR-210 EB off-ramp terminus to provide a second left-turn lane; restriping SR-210 EB and WB on-ramps to convert the existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) preferential lane to a generalpurpose lane; upgrading sidewalks and curb ramps to current American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards along Alder Avenue where proposed improvements impact existing conditions; building retaining walls along the SR-210 EB off-ramp and along the dedicated right-turn lane on NB Alder Avenue at the SR-210 EB on-ramp; and adding guardrail/end treatments at the Alder Avenue NB and SB bridge approaches. The work also includes traffic striping and pavement markings, installation of detectable warning surfaces, video image vehicle detection systems and all associated work as identified on the construction drawings.
