The work in this section shall consist of constructing one or more courses of cold mix bituminous pavement on a prepared base in accordance with these specifications and in substantial conformance with the lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical cross-sections shown on the plans or established by the Owner. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five-hundred dollars ($500.00) in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft or Bid Bond. Cash will not be acceptable as a deposit. If an awarded bidder fails to enter into a contract with the County following notice of bid acceptance, the bid security shall be forfeited to and become the property of Chemung County. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five days after the date of the bid opening. If you have obtained this document from a source other than the Empire State Purchasing Group, it is recommended that you obtain an official copy by registering with this service.
