**As of April 06, 2023, no bids received for this project.** For Fairfield City School District 2023 Crossroads Locker Replacement Project. All questions received will be answered to all bidders collectively via email. General Scope of Work: Fairfield Crossroads Middle School Locker Replacement Requirements 1) Remove existing lockers (approximately 1,600) per FCSD "old locker locations layout" 2) Dispose of lockers (credit value) 3) Install 450 all welded lockers (colors determined by FCSD) on each of the three floors per FCSD "new locker locations layout", lockers shall consist of: a) Double tier construction, that shall be factory assembled, of all MIG welded construction, in multiple column units to fit job conditions. Grind exposed welds and metal edges flush and make safe to the touch. Size of 15 x 15 X 30 X 60 (2 Tiered) b) 14 gauge doors with a seamless drawn stainless steel recessed handle shaped to receive a padlock or built in combination lock. The recess pan shall be deep enough to have the lock be completely flush with the outer door face. A finger lift/pad lock hasp shall protrude through the top of the handle for easy opening of the locker door c) The latching mechanism shall be finger lift control type constructed of 14 gauge steel with nylon cover that has generous finger pull. Spring activated nylon latches shall be completely enclosed in the lock channel allowing doors to close with the lock in the lock position. Locking devise shall be designed for use with either built in combination locks or pad locks. Latch hooks shall be 12 gauge minimum and shall be welded to vertical frame member d) Hinges shall be 16 gauge continuous piano hinge e) Twin Frame / Vertical side panels shall be of integral frame and side wall construction manufactured from solid 16 gauge sheet steel. The one piece side frame shall be formed to provide a continuous door strike on the hinge side. An additional continuous vertical door strike shall be achieved at the latch side by MIG welding a 16 gauge full height channel frame member to the integral locker side producing a rigid torque free welded locker body. The frame shall include a tab which engages a slot in the base locking the side panel and frame in position f) Integral frame locker base shall be 16 gauged formed sheet metal steel with double return flanges at the front and rear. A full depth horizontal channel shall be MIG welded under the locker bottom front to back at the left and right side of each welded locker unit as well as beneath each vertical side panel for maximum rigidity g) Hat shelves, intermediate shelves and bottoms shall be made of 16 gauge steel, have double bends at the front and shall be MIG welded to the sides h) Backs shall be 18 gauge sheet steel, to be continuous to cover a multi twin framed unit and be welded to each vertical side panel i) Continuous sloped tops shall be not less than 18 gauge cold rolled sheet steel. Approximately 18 degrees pitch. Finished to match lockers j) Finished box end panels shall be not less than 16 gauge cold rolled sheet steel formed into box construction designed for concealed fastening. Available with mitered slope. Provide at all exposed ends. Finished to match lockers k) All welded lockers shall be covered against all defects in material and workmanship excluding finish or damage resulting from deliberate destruction and vandalism under this section for the lifetime of the facility
