The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify and select the lowest cost and most qualified Contractor for the removal of existing 230 KW 120/208V 3-Phase Diesel standby generator and purchase and replacement with new 175KW 120/208V 3-Phase diesel standby generator for the City of Duarte (Duarte). Contractors shall be California licensed and qualified to supply and integrate a backup diesel powered generator specified at the City of Duarte City Hall, located at 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA 91010. The site location is illustrated in the included plans under Attachment A. The successful contractor shall comply with the requirements, general conditions and specification stated in this request for proposal (RFP). The City desires to replace its existing generator with a newly manufactured unit that will meet the power demands of the facilities it serves in compliance with federal air quality regulations for stationary emergency power generation. The minimum specifications for the generator are included in Appendix A. In addition to the procurement and installation of all new equipment per the plans and specification documents provided, the Contractor shall be responsible to ensure the generator complies with the applicable emission requirements and acquire the SCAQMD permit to install and operate new equipment. All fees for this process, including but not limited to permitting fees shall be part of this process.
