Renovation of a water / sewer project in Racine, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Description: Furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of Contract D-22, WWTP Biogas Conditioning. Additional Description: Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. City of Racine Prequalification Statement must be submitted to the City of Racine at least 5 working days prior to bid opening in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Use of American Iron and Steel: The Contract requires the use of American Iron and Steel products. Iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. Contractor will be required to provide Owner documentation of the use of American Iron and Steel. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, under the Contract. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements apply to this Project (E.O. 11246). The Owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit Bid proposals. The City of Racine Works Program procurement policy promotes the utilization of local workers for City construction projects. The Racine Wastewater Utility reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the utility.
