Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Racine, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of May 1, 2025, construction is underway. A construction manager has been selected. Information regarding an architect has not been released. Construction is expected be complete in August of 2026. Bond fund $598 million of work over 30 years GIFFORD K-8 SCHOOL The referendum would provide the funding needed to make the following improvements at Gifford: SAFETY & SECURITY: • Install emergency backup generator • Update for ADA-compliant access K-8 LEARNING SPACES: • Create STEM Lab • Update Middle School Science rooms • Add glass between Technical Education rooms for visual supervision • Create small group, breakout spaces • Improve access to Elementary School cafeteria’s raised seating area • Install wider lockers BUILDING ADDITIONS: • Build new Middle School gymnasium with fitness room INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting, flooring, ceilings, casework, paint walls) • Address building maintenance (doors, windows, roofing, HVAC updates, exterior masonry and concrete, retro-commissioning) • Expand parking
