Site work, paving, remodeling and addition to a mixed-use development in Racine, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 30,360-square-foot educational facility; for the remodel of a 156,890-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a 413,085-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
SAFETY & SECURITY: • Replace clock and PA systems • Update for ADA-compliant access • Create bus drop-off/pick-up loop • Install additional security cameras and emergency backup generator K-8 LEARNING SPACES: • Convert existing Elementary cafeteria into STEM lab and new community room • Right-size classrooms • Expand CTE and Science spaces • Repurpose stage into fitness area BUILDING REMODELS & ADDITIONS: • Expand Elementary School to five sections with five new classrooms, gym, cafeteria, music and receiving rooms • Reduce Middle School to four sections • Add new Special Education spaces and student support offices INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting, flooring, ceilings, casework, paint walls) • Address building maintenance (doors, windows, roofing, plumbing, HVAC updates, exterior masonry and asphalt, retro-commissioning), resolve drainage issues at site • Update athletic and playground areas As of April 27, 2023, Construction is underway and all trades are let.
