As of March 20, 2025, per owner, there has been no award and there is no target date available at this time. They are still evaluating proposals. The City of Salem is accepting sealed proposals from qualified Offerors to provide engineering services for the design, construction contract administration, and construction inspection for the construction of a 336,000-gallon water storage tank, upgrade of two pump stations, installation of approximately 28,000 feet of 12 & 8-inch waterline and associated appurtenances in Salem, Virginia. The construction is intended to enhance the strength of the City of Salem's water distribution system. The City intends to obtain the services of one qualified engineering firm to perform the work described in this Request for Proposal. A contract will be awarded to one firm for the duration of the project. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract, in whole or in part, without cause upon giving the Offeror a thirty (30) days written notice to the vendor. All questions must be submitted before 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2024. If necessary, an addendum will be issued and e-mailed to all Offerors who were e-mailed the original RFP. Any such addenda shall become a part of the solicitation documents, must be addressed in the proposal, if applicable, and shall become a Contract Document. The City accepts no liability for late or non-receipt of addenda.
