Sales Tax Exemption: Pursuant to 77.54(9m) certain items purchased by the contractor for this project may be subject to sales tax exemption and, in such cases, contractor shall not pay nor charge the City for said taxes. Bidder will be required to have Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. Cost of Bond shall be included in Bid. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages.
