As of September 6, 2024, per owner design team has been identified for Phase I and II. No general contractor yet, bidding is scheduled for 2026. Currently in Phase I status with construction set to begin in 2026. The intersection of Illinois Route 68 (Dundee Road) and Hicks Road is a 90 degree signalized intersection. The primary road (Dundee Road) is a principal arterial roadway with a 4-lane cross section with dedicated left turn lanes. The secondary roadway (Hicks Road) is a minor arterial with a 4-lane cross section with dedicated left turn lanes. Due to these factors, the Village is interested in level of service improvement, adding of dedicated right turn lanes, lane widening and pedestrian safety enhancements. The Village of Palatine may conduct interviews with and/or require presentations of the firms who submit acceptable or potentially acceptable qualifications as part of the SOI for this project. The Village of Palatine, Illinois is soliciting qualified and interested firms to submit statements of qualifications for providing all services, supervision, labor and equipment necessary to provide the Village with Phase I and Phase II Engineering Services for intersection improvements at Illinois Route 68 (Dundee Road) and Hicks Road in the Village of Palatine. All work shall conform to IDOT/FHWA policies and procedures for federal aid projects and will be completed under applicable BLR and BDE Manuals. All questions shall be submitted by email to Matt Barry and George Ruppert by 12:00 PM (CST) on January 13, 2023. A response to all questions received will be provided via email and posted on the Village website after 4:00 PM (CST) on January 18, 2023. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
