Renovation of a mixed-use development in Glenwood, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of March 15,2023, project was awarded to West Central Roofing $206,300 and Sheet Metal $111,700 total amount $318,000.** Each bid must contain a bond, cashiers or certified check, or certified share draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, including alternates, in a separate attached envelope. Bid security shall be made payable to Glenwood Community School District. Performance Bond and Labor, Material and Payment Bond will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the contract. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish satisfactory Performance / Payment Bonds, refuse to enter into a contract on the basis of the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this Notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidders security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date and hour set for receiving bids. The School District may make the contract award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the Contract Documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the School District. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to labor, materials, products, and supplies found or produced within the State of Iowa.
