Renovation of a transportation facility in Victorville, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

This Project involves the reconstruction of eight building roofs at the Southern California Logistics Airport. Five of these eight roofs (Bldgs. 732/733/738/739/744) involve the complete removal of built-up roofing materials and replacement with Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF). Two hangar roofs (Bldgs. 682/685) are to be cleaned, applied with a rust-inhibitive primer, and sprayed with ULTRA-TUFF 2500 Polyurethane Coating, or equivalent. The final roof (Bldg. 867A) requires the removal of EPDM rubber and roll roofing down to the wood deck and replacement with SPF. This project shall be scheduled to have all eight roofs completed within 45 calendar days. Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in the form of a certified or cashier's check or Corporate Surety Bond in amounts not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted amount. A bid received from a Contractor who is not represented by a duly authorized agent at the prebid meeting and job walk shall be considered non-responsive and rejected from further contract award consideration. The work contemplated by this project is a public work subject to prevailing wages under the California Labor Code section 1770 et. Seq. The successful bidder and subcontractors will be required to pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in effect on the date the work is performed. Engineers Estimate is within $685,000 Bidders shall visit the site and take other steps as may be reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of the work, and the general and local conditions which can affect the work or the cost thereof. Failure to do so will not relieve bidders from the responsibility for correctly estimating the difficulty and cost of successfully performing the work. The SCLAA will not assume responsibility for any understanding or representations concerning the conditions made by any of its officers or agents prior to execution of the Contract, unless included in the Contract Documents.
