Question & Answer deadline Jan 20, 2023 (Tue), 5:00 PM DESCRIPTION: It is the intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a supplier/contractor to remove and replace all internal parts (except the flights, chains, and drives) in each of the four (4) Final Tanks at the Harold Street Wastewater facility (200 W Harold St Olathe, KS). The four Final Tanks were built and configured as two separate sets of two tanks. Bidders to field verify dimensions during the pre-bid review meeting. Additional details on the mechanism will be available at the pre-bid meeting and copies can be made at that time. SCOPE OF SERVICES The proposal must include all parts, fabrication, and installation labor for new final tank mechanisms except for flights, chains, and drive assemblies. The installation shall be performed one tank at a time, the total down time allowed per individual tank to complete all the work is limited to 2 weeks and only one tank can be out of service at a time. The installations will be phased based on budget availability. All work scheduling must be coordinated with City of Olathe staff. New parts and the tank may have to be modified to fit the new parts properly. Sprockets must be of similar size and teeth count and they must mount to the shaft similar to existing. Additional fabrication may be required as parts may be obsolete. All hardware cost is to be included in the proposal. Proposal pricing shall be separated into line items as follows: 1)Total Cost per tank a.Materials cost per tank b.Labor cost per tank 2)Total cost for 4 tanks a.Materials cost for 4 tanks b.Labor cost for 4 tanks Existing chain is Polychem brand. All sprockets shall be Polychem brand or other City approved brand that is compatible with Polychem brand chain.
