As of March 8, 2023, project was awarded to Montgomery Excavating, awarded amount is $1,364,482.50. 6,600 lineal feet of 16-inch water main and 2,000 lineal feet of 8-inch water main including fittings, hydrants, valves, and water services. 140 lineal feet of 18-inch x 0.250" W.T. steel casing installed via bore and jack. Including all necessary appurtenances, restoration, and 0.36 miles of road reconstruction. The last day an addendum will be issued is three (3) business days prior to the bid. Questions will be received through January 27, 2023, and the last day an addendum will be issued is January 30, 2023. Plainfield Charter Township shall provide all water main materials. Contractor shall furnish adequate material, equipment, labor and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing, inspection, and placing the system in operation. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Plainfield Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least ninety (90) days thereafter.
