Site work and paving for a road / highway in Centralia, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The WORK shall involve supplying the labor, equipment, permits, licenses, miscellaneous supplies, etc. necessary to remove the colored brick paving areas downtown and replace with 4 inches of stenciled colored concrete. The Concrete, rock for backfill, stencils, and wire will be provided by the city from approved Vendor. City shall provide area for disposal of materials. Public Act 85-1295 Questions of a technical nature regarding these materials should be directed to Jeff Schwartz or Terry Harris at the Public Works Department (618) 533-7640. BIDS must be accompanied by a BID DE- POSIT of 5% of the total bid.. BID DEPOSIT shall come in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond made payable to the City of Centralia, Illinois. No BIDDER may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual opening date of the bid. The City of Centralia, acting through the Mayor and the City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept portions of the bid items that appears to be in the best interest of the City of Centralia and within the approved budget.
